Many viewers of the Twilight series have developed a deep attachment for the plots and characters, notably Taylor Lautner.
He displayed his stunning, muscular body while portraying werewolf Jacob Black in all 5 Twilight Saga films.
He was, however, under a great deal of pressure, and now he admits what is hidden behind his appearance.
In the Twilight series, Taylor Lautner portrayed Jacob Black, and it was well known that he underwent considerable bodily transformations for the part in order to reflect the character’s shift from a teenage boy to a werewolf.
He initially had no idea that he might experience issues with his body image in the future.
Taylor Lautner discussed how tough it was for him to “be perceived as having this unbelievable figure” when the Twilight Saga movies were completed.
“No, I did not know that it was impacting me or was going to effect me in the future with body image when I was in it, when I was 16 through 20 years old, starring in this franchise where my character is known for taking his shirt off every other second.”
Yet, looking back, it was inevitable that it would happen; of course it did.
In order to portray the part of the wolf in New Moon, the actor had to go through an astonishing transformation that transformed him from a thin teen to a hot celebrity.
He said that his 3,200 daily calories and five days of exercise a week turned him into a werewolf.
Lautner acknowledges that the program was his “entire life” during those moments.
I weighed 140 pounds in the first movie, and 175 in New Moon.
That was not my natural body, therefore, yeah.
I had to put in a ton of effort both to get it and to keep it.
Lautner claims that after years of being “forced to be in a gym multiple times a day, six days a week,” he started “rebelling against the gym” and eventually stopped working out altogether.
What occurs if you decide not to visit a gym?
You begin to lose the eight-pack.
I began to develop a more typical body.
